I understandWater wells can be used for securing ground water for human consumption or industrial purposes.
Blockages arise in the filter or in the gravel pack in two out of three water collection wells in the Netherlands. This is caused by particles that are naturally present in the water, such as iron, manganese and other organic particles.
These blockages must be removed to guarantee the life span and capacity of a drinking water well. Q-Flow has years of experience in the development, regeneration and maintenance of water wells.
These wells consist of a filter tube and a riser pipe which are both inserted in a borehole. The borehole is then filled with gravel (the gravel pack) after the placement of the filter tube (the gravel pack).Filtration of the water is first made by the gravel pack and the second filtration is made by the installed filter. The water is pumped to the surface by a submerged pump that is mounted at the top of the water collection well from a pump pipe.
