Sectional circulation

During sectional circulation, ground water from one section is circulated through a gravel pack using a specially developed device. This method loosens particles from the borehole wall. The dislodged contaminants are then removed from the well by air lifting. During circular pumping, the ‘circulation device’ moves up and down the well vertically through the filter sections.

Regeneration of the well

Sectional circulation requires additional labour and materials, and hampers the optimal regeneration of the well. This solution is therefore only applied when there are no other options available.
